Il State Minimum Wage 2024. As of july 1, 2023, the minimum wage in chicago is $15.80 per hour for employers with 21 or more workers and $15.00 per hour for employers with 4 to 20 workers. Effective 01/01/2024 the illinois state minimum wage will increase to $14.00 per hour.
